Colorfoto was invited to The City Hall, Cardiff on 18th April 2008 to record the main Welsh fundraising event of the year; Women In Wales Save The Children Fund. 'Ladies In Hats' was the theme for this year's celebration and the variety of styles of those worn was quite amazing.
The event was complimented by the appearance of pupils from Howell's Junior School, Cardiff, who not only wore their hats with pride but could also boast their skills in design and manufacture of them!
Shan Legge-Bourke, Chair of the Organising Committee for the event, and Principal of Howell's School, Mrs Sally Davis were there to greet over 200 guests. A splendid lunch was enjoyed by all and a fantastic sum of £44k was raised for this very worthwhile cause.
We've chosen a selection of photos from the event. As you will soon see two very special guests drew a lot of attention from the visitors who couldn't wait to have their photos taken with them! Colorfoto donated an auction prize consisting of a free studio session and framed print for the lucky recipient and we gave complimentary prints to Howell's School for the staff and pupils. In addition, we will shortly be donating a montage poster of all the guests' images to Save The Children as an avid reminder of a great occasion.
We were very proud to be associated with this event and look forward to supporting again in 2009.
