Racing cars at the Formula 1 event

The competition, organised by Technology Alliance Wales is in its second year in South Wales, and aims to equip primary and secondary pupils with design and technology skills by designing a working model of a Formula 1 racing car. This year 20 schools mainly from Mid Glamorgan and Carmarthenshire competed at primary level and there were 8 prize winners in total. The top 2 placed teams, Ysgol Carwe, Gwendraeth and West Park, Porthcawl, respectively, received sponsorship from Corus of £500 each which will help pay for their expenses when traveling to the UK Final in Manchester in March. Colorfoto wishes them the greatest success at the event and hopes the winning UK trophy comes back to Wales!
